Ice Skating at Somerset House

Every year I vow to go ice skating at Somerset House and never get round to it. However, after 4 years of living in London I finally booked tickets and went yesterday morning! It was amazing and I can't wait to go again, hopefully at night to see the huge Christmas tree all lit up!

My new website

Illustrator David Sparshott has created this set of 3 posters for Magma. My favourite has got to be the one with all the bikes, particularly the penny farthing in the centre!

Rory Dobner

On a recent trip to Liberty's I spotted these lovely pieces by Rory Dobner. There are a lot of neon signs out there, but I like the contrasting feel of these, having them mounted on different materials. The wood gives them a more rustic feel, and I like how the glow of the word picks up the grain in the background.

The 'Love' image at the bottom, is made more interesting again with each letter having a different style., giving that more vintage feel of a collection of found objects. More of his work can be found here www.rorydobner.com.

BA Graphic Design Communication Show at Chelsea

Having spent a lot of time staring at my own work in the degree show I popped down to look at the Graphic Design part of the exhibition. I haven't been on here in a while due to the crazy time before the deadline for my final year, but it is now over!

All my work was assessed last week and now its time to play the waiting game to find out my final mark. At least I know my work was thoroughly looked through!!....

Meadham Kirchhoff

Back in September for SS12 Fashion Week, the models at the Meadham Kirchhoff show were wearing these cute nail wraps by Nail Rock. They are now selling them through Topshop and I finally managed to find some in the Westfield store this week!

I love going to Camden and although a trip to the market is the main purpose of going there, I always have to pop into the H & M. It only sells the Divided range, and I always manage to find at least one thing to buy!

Design House Stockholm

On a recent trip to John Lewis to buy more sewing threads to my ever increasing hoard, I ventured down to the cookware department and discovered Design House Stockholm. I got rather over excited about these cups and saucers, but they're just so nice! If only I could afford them with prices staring at £13 for a small bowl.
