Once again in a bid to put off writing my dissertation, I have found myself looking at shoes (or in this case trainers). I have wanted a pair of Liberty print Nike's for a while, but I've never really loved any of the prints previously used...until now.
The print was designed as part of a collaboration between the Liberty design team and illustrator Brian Wildsmith for the Autumn 2011 collection, which also featured collaborations with two other children's illustrators David McKee and Lauren Child.
So if anyone would like to buy these for my birthday or christmas, I'm a size three and they're £77...

Loyalty and Blood
One thing I bought at the Brooklyn Flea market was a necklace from Loyalty and Blood. They sell a variety of t-shirts, tote bags and jewellery, all made in their studio in Brooklyn.
At their stall they had a dish with lots of little charms in, so I chose the heart and S initial to put on a chain as shown in the photo below.
Brooklyn Flea Market
Back in April I went to New York for a week. One of my favourite places I went to whilst there, was the Brooklyn Flea Market. It may have taken 4 months, but I've finally got my film developed of some photos I took whilst there and scanned them in, making me want to go back!

Annina Vogel
Using vintage charms, she creates one off pieces like the ones below (my three favourites!)
The pieces don't come cheap though, the ring comes at a pricey £6,500 and the necklaces at £350 each.

ASOS Pepper Peep Toe Mary Jane Platform Court Shoe
I just came across these shoes on ASOS and I think I've fallen in love with them. For £50 I could feel like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz...not sure I really need to add to my shoe collection right now though (40 pairs!).

Liberty Print Barbour Jacket
This is the Carline Liberty print Beadnell jacket from Barbour. If I had £219 to spend on a jacket, I would definitely buy it. Until then I will just have to dream about it, or win the lottery.

Tracey Emin @ The Hayward Gallery
I went to see the Tracey Emin exhibition at The Hayward Gallery today, and it was amazing. Seeing the vast array of her work, from drawings to videos to textile pieces, was really interesting and left me feeling very inspired.
Below are a few of my favourite pieces of work from the exhibition...
